Today’s invitation comes from the number ‘8’ and Balance along with it’s Tarot ally, The Star (#17). Some tarot authored decks differ on the # 8 Major Arcana; Strength/Lust or Justice/Balance.   I made a choice to use Crowleys delineation making the ‘8’ card Balance/Adjustment/Justice. Simply, a personal choice.  Within either choice is the opportunity to consider how you balance your life, how you consider the choices you make to address inner conflict, or trust what you know is the way to sustain equality within yourself and around you.

 

In the ‘8’, is the management of your resources, your time, your money, and the consideration of how you control and have power; how you lead yourself and others.  It is considered by some the card of Divine Order.  It will be about how you order your life and live in the material world.  How you manage it and others.  It can be dictatorial, and overly controlling.  Be Mindful.

It is my brother birthday.  Happy Birthday …  As I am in Florida, I’m going to give you a repeat here… Distractions are many… So.. here ya go.

Todays invitation is about relationships, with others and yourself.  In the ‘6’ there is a great desire for harmony, there is the nurturer, the care giver, the humanitarian, the giving of the self so that others thrive, and the focus on hearth and home.  If your number is ‘6’ (add your date of birth together) you also have a charm about you that can be irresistible. Problems rise when you have given yourself away and have nothing for yourself.  It’s easy to see the Lovers in this number.  Now that Devil… well…The Devil is the trickster, he/she who sets before you choices that tease you from your path and suggest that you might want to try something different, a new fruit to flavor your life.  When you begin to question who you are and what you do, the Devil will slip into your mind, and tickle at your questions to push you into something that might not be the something you had in mind.  If you know what I mean?  The Devil will challenge your relationships; the one you have with others and the the one you have with yourself. Thus, I am of the mind that the Devil performs a gift for you on your Path of life so that you can really have a sense of your integrity, your authenticity, and how you allow harmony and love in your life.

INVITATION TAROT/NUMEROLOGY DAILY…12..HANGED ONE

Tho’ today is a ‘3’ day, I will tell you about it from ‘12’, the Hanged One’s, as the day adds to that first and I want to speak of this day from this Major Arcana point of view.  

In the ‘3’, from a numerological point of view, (that being mine, ; ). A day of creativity, a day of nurturing play and your curiosity.  A day to have some sassy fun.

Now how might that translate into the Hanged One?  One of the invitations in the Hanged One’s card is, as you notice the life you live and what whirls and twirls within and around your life, is to relax for awhile, look at life from all it’s many angles and facets;  begin to notice the world from a new perspective.  It’s the play within the new possibilities, the gift of ‘hangin’ out’ without really taking action on anything in particular till you feel moved to do so.

THe Universe tags in and speaks to that wait just at the portal of decision time when you step through and into a more expanded view of all that is.

The Empress nurtures the way, giving guidance and the invitation to creatively try many things before settling into your Heart’s Desire.

INVITATION TAROT/NUMEROLOGY DAILY… 11. LUST/PASSION

Happy Birthday Lynn and Harry.  This one’s for you two.

 

‘2’, the number of communion, exchange, counsel, guidance, mediator, seeing both sides to a story; ‘2s’ care how people connect and the mysteries of togetherness.   In the Tarot, one of the ‘2s’ is the ‘11’, this is todays number  with the other ‘2s’ the allies at work to support it.  Lust, that sounds all so exciting and it is and isn’t.  

In the Crowley deck, “Lust implies not only strength, but the joy of strength exercised. It is vigour, and the rapture of vigour. (BT p. 91-92)”  It is that ‘vigour’ that we’re talking about here; that taking charge, feeling your vulnerability and finding strength in that.  Not letting the overwhelm of life take charge of you rather you taking charge of it.  

In the ‘20’, Aeon/Judgement, there is the calling to accountability, really ‘seeing’ life from a higher perspective, understanding the timelessness of it all, knowing where you’ve been and feeling yourself fully present right now.  

In the Priestess, there is the invitation to what is beyond what we can see, the exchange with the inner world of mystery and personal counsel.  The knowing that in the silence and quest for deep spiritual knowledge; it is in the listening to your quiet wisdom.

Hey… It’s all about you.  A day of being #1, knowing your Oneness, knowing that you are at One with all there is and all you are.  The Magician has all the tools you need;  earth, fire, air, and water, that translates to; what you do, how you hold true to yourself and your passion, how you get clarity, how you feel, and what your heart speaks to you of.  The Wheel of Fortune, is the Circle of Life, turning and changing,  up and down, east and west; inviting you in to the center where the journey is more steady and focused, where the Sun shine directly on you to help you flourish and see where you’re going and how you’re growing.

INVITATION TAROT/NUMEROLOGY DAILY…THE TOWER

In the ‘7’, there is the investigator, the analyzer, the observer; he/she who misses nothing and gathers what they know into a deeper understanding of how things work and the reason for being.  They are on a need to know bases as they tend to be suspicious of others.  ‘7’ find inspiration in everything they take interest in. There is a tenaciousness about ‘7’s’, at times even a willful fervor when something is decided, it become nearly unshakeable in the truth of it.  ‘7’ desires to be nearly perfect at something/s.

The Tower card gives a story about what happens when the foundation of something keeps reaching beyond itself.  Reaching till it has grown into something that no longer understands or connects to the very root of what brought it into being in the first place.  And without the foundation of life secure and solid in the knowing of what it stands on, the Tower can take a tumble, needing to remember where it began and felt safest.

The Charioteer, shares the story of gathering, investigating, observing something they feel passionate about. giving focus to a cause, or whatever it is that they feel called into life for their own special purpose.  They will take their time and become fluent in what holds their attention.  Shear will, will drive them on.

INVITATION TAROT/NUMEROLOGY…THE FOOL

In this ‘4’ day which, when added across is first ‘22’ leading to the ‘4’, I give ‘22’ to the Fool.  Twenty-two Major Arcana, and the Fool finds him/herself at the beginning as ‘0’. So, the Fool becomes part of this constellation tarot card.  It goes a little like this:  The Fool says, “Come on, jump into life.  Take a change, trust me that is really you, innocent, ready to begin anew journey.  You don’t need much, just your instincts and the belief that it will be just fine.”  The Emperor say,  “Now that you’ve landed, what do you intend to do?  You need a home, and stability.  You need some rules to abide by and a form to work in.”   Then Death comes along with a little transformational Wisdom and says,  “Yes, well, do you really need all that stuff?  Are all those rules really working for you?  Aren’t you feeling stuck and caught in the rat race? And who knows what all is limiting your life, Right?  Let it go.  Just let go of some of that so you can make some space for what really matters. Surrender Dorothy so you can find your way back home.”  

In this invitation for the day, the journey of letting go, trusting in what you think you don’t know, building a form and a structure to live in and with, and then letting it go, transforming and evolving so you can be The Fool, jump into life with the innocence of new beginning and find your way to completion and letting go.  Birth/Life/Death, again.

On this day for lovers, St Valentine’s Day, we are invited into the #’3’, and the above Tarot cards.  #6 is the card of the Lovers in the Tarot, so I will imagine this card of relationship while I consider that the day is mark with the ‘3’.  ‘3’ is the number for inclusion or exclusion.  There is playfulness in ‘3’, chatty, busy, creative; a trinity that brings others together to create something more.  Think of some trinities.   The HangedOne is a reminder that sometime as we ‘hang’ on to our life, it might be useful to turn it upside down, (in case it hasn’t been turned already) and look at a new perspective.  Not necessarily to take action on that perspective/s, just to take a look-see, and feel what might need shifting.  The Universe invites you to stand at the portal of that new perspective, looking out and over the world as you know it; wandering for a moment in the new promise ,that there is more to life as you know it, and you can step through to include these other choices into the rhyme and rhythm of your life.  The Empress, is ‘she who’  nurtures, and gives to the creative force of life.  She figuratively and literally births new life; she is Mother Earth, she is ‘pregnant with possibilities’ and the promise of new life.

INVITATION TAROT/NUMEROLOGY DAILY

A ‘2’ day/year.  Looks busy up there doesn’t it?  Aren’t all days busy and we want to slow them down a bit?  The ‘2’ with all it’s friends invites you into cooperation.  To create a dialogue, and exchange with other and also within yourself.  Creating good communication skills.  Speaking from the ‘I’ as opposed to pointing the finger at other and creating defense.  The Judgement/Aeon cards invite you into being accountable for what you say and do in the world.  Calling on your personal wisdom to make good decisions.  Lust/Strength, give the invitation to knowing your vulnerability and trusting your intuition and instincts.  The Priestess gives counsel, whether you listen to your own inner counsel or it’s a time to find counsel in other: she/he stands between the worlds of what you know/imagine, think/feel, comprehend/query. 

Also, associated with the Major Arcana of the day, are the ‘2’ of sword, ‘2’ of wands, ‘2’ of cups, and the ‘2’ of pentacles.  I consider these card ‘the work’ cards.  Where your work for this year/day is.  In the swords, you look for clarity and the cutting away of what isn’t serving you.  In the wands, there is your passions, what gets you up and moving, how you light up, or light your way, in the cups is your flow, your heart, how you feel, in the pentacles is what you do, and how you do it, the stable, steady experience of it all.

Within all these cards is the polarity of the positive.  What isn’t clear, what doesn’t feel light, what doesn’t flow, what feels unstable and not working?  I invite you into considering that.
