Some times I imagine this ‘constellation’ of numbers as ‘painting/singing/dancing your way out of the box’. The box, ‘4’, being that secure, safe place that holds your possessions, your order in the world, which is a good thing, something I believe we all flourish in. And sometimes, that box is our prison. It holds us in ways that confine, restrict, over protect, our desire to be in the world. ‘5’ seeks to push the edges of the box; to know what might lie beyond the confines of our small world to the larger one. Mixing the unlikely with the improbably, gathering information, and resources. ‘5’ wants to know how things work or don’t. That ‘5’ pointed star that reaches for the heavens, standing securely on the Earth.
What improbable possibility tugs at your edges?
What keeps your from stretching yourself out of the box?
Is there a spiritual resource that you desire to know more about? What keeps you from the quest?
First of all I would like to say terrific blog! I had a quick question which I’d like to ask if you don’t mind.
I was curious to find out how you center yourself and clear your head prior to writing.
I have had difficulty clearing my mind in getting my thoughts out
there. I truly do enjoy writing but it just seems like the first 10 to 15
minutes are lost simply just trying to figure out how to begin.
Any ideas or tips? Many thanks!
HI Alexis
Thanks for you appreciation and you question. I have neglected this blog for sometime for other writing things. This is a blog I do monthly for my local bookstore.

For your question: I do many things to clear out the endless meanderings of my mind. LOL. One of the those things it to just start to write them down till they leave and I get into what it is I want to write.
I also write a poetry blog much more frequently then here and I do what I call, ‘Free Falling’ I think it’s my version of a writer’s group ‘way’ I use to be part of on line. What that means for me is, that I just allow a first line of what ever is in my mind as I sit down to write and let that be like a prompt and see where it goes. I don’t try to edit it. The editing thing is the thing that always gets in my way, so I just write and allow the words to happen.
When I write an entry that is specific, like this blog on tarot is, I have the cards and the subject to lead me. That’s always helpful to have something thats right there either in front of me, or brewing in me to start the process.
Are you in a writer’s group either on line or where you live? Always a good thing to have. If you don’t, and you’re interested in online opportunities I can send you some possibilities that might work. Let me know.
I hope that help in some little way.
Keep writing, no matter what. Sit down as often as you can, and just let what happens happen till you get a groove with it. Writing doesn’t happen unless you do it. I write most days, not everyday, and it IS a discipline.
Try to write right through that creative, busy mind of yours and spill it out.
Thanks again for your question and I hope that helped.
